Suæuraj,
"the most beautiful small town in the world" as it is
called on Suæuraj
homepage, is a small town on the southern side of the Hvar
island, with about 400 permanent residents. The most common occupations
are fishing and tourism, which is mostly turned towards the so
called family tourism. Pleasant climate and the rewarding location
of Suæuraj have brought many tourists here every year.
There are about 10 restaurants, café bars, cake shops as well
as all the other essential businesses like the bank, groceries
shops, post office, ambulance and so on. Suæuraj has an all-day-round
connection with the land, ferries sail almost every half an hour,
which is how much it takes them to get from Hvar to the other
side. The ride is quite pleasant and relaxing.

For
emergency interventions there is a helicopter landing ground.
The night life in Suæuraj is also focused on families, fish restaurants,
Dalmatian feasts ect. while the young people spend their time
on beach parties and in coffee shops (Jamaican atmosphere J).
Except for it's high quality fish, Suæuraj is known throughout
the land for it's great wines and quality olive oil production.
These products are highly recommended by yours truly. The recognisable
island architecture and all-around Mediterranean atmosphere make
the old town core a great destination for evening walks, while
the clean beaches and even cleaner sea attract people from other
towns and even from the land. All things considered, Suæuraj is
a place where the old spirit of the Adriatic is still present,
and it would be a waste not to feel it.
Hope to see you!
